Discord Bot Setup Guide

1 Create Discord Bot Application

DISCORD_TOKEN=your_token_here

⚠️ Never share your bot token! Keep it secret.

2 Enable Privileged Intents

In the Bot tab, scroll down to "Privileged Gateway Intents" and enable:

Click Save Changes

3 Generate Invite Link

Go to OAuth2 → URL Generator tab
Under Scopes, select:
- ✅ bot
- ✅ applications.commands
Under Bot Permissions, select:
- ✅ Administrator
- (or specific: Manage Channels, Manage Roles, Kick Members, Ban Members, Manage Messages)
Copy the Generated URL at the bottom
Paste it in your browser and select your server

4 Configure Channel & Role IDs

In Discord, enable Developer Mode:

Right-click channels/roles and click Copy ID, then update config.json:

5 Install Dependencies & Run

Open terminal/command prompt in the bot folder and run:

pip install -r requirements.txt

Then start the bot:

python bot.py

✅ Your bot should now be online! Check Discord to see it in your server.
